What if I'm a complete beginner?
Perfect! Bob warmly welcomes artists of all levels. His supportive and encouraging teaching style ensures beginners feel comfortable and confident while challenging more experienced artists to discover new techniques and grow their skills.
How many people will be in the retreat?
We intentionally keep groups small to ensure everyone receives personal attention and guidance from Bob. This intimate setting creates the perfect environment for learning, creativity, and forming lasting friendships with fellow artists.

September brings beautiful spring weather to Great Barrier Island with mild temperatures and longer days. We'll be painting in our comfortable waterfront studio, so you can focus on your art regardless of the weather outside.
Can I extend my stay to explore more of the island?
Absolutely! Great Barrier Island offers incredible hiking, pristine beaches, and a Dark Sky Sanctuary perfect for stargazing. Contact us to discuss extending your stay – we'd be happy to help arrange additional accommodation and island activities.
